Enzo Bravi: Biologist, International Marketing and Sales at Eurospital SpA, Diagnostic Division.

Eurospital SpA (Partner 2) is a SME founded in 1948 and it represents a consolidated and innovative company specialised in in-vitro diagnostic systems, prescription and over-the-counter products, clinical-surgical instruments, and medical equipment for the hospital market. The diagnostics division R&D laboratory develops innovative diagnostic systems in the field of Gastroenterology and immunology. The Diagnostic Division operates worldwide by providing its partners with innovative and state of the art products in the fields of early in vitro diagnosis CD, IBD, other autoimmune disorders and infectious diseases. Eurospital holds the world-wide license for the tTG Patent (tissue transglutaminase antibody). 

Eurospital started its participation in EU- funded projects in 2000. The first project was the FP5 cluster Coeliac-EU project (2000-2003), epidemiology component, where it has developed and validated the Eu-tTG kit by testing more than 29000 samples coming from centres in Italy, Finland, Germany and the United Kingdom. Recently the results of that project have been published. Eurospital is also a member of the FP6 PreventCD project started in 2007 where its task was to test more than 3600 DNA samples coming from various European Centers. More recently, Eurospital participates in the FP-7 CD-Medics where it is an active member of both Steering and Exploitation committees and leads the Exploitation work package.
